As part of a series of exhibitions organized along the Lebanese coast, the Lebanese Environmental Forum organized a seminar and traveling exhibition on the Koura Coast to raise awareness about the importance of the Marine Protected Areas (MPAs) network and to support the environmental project aimed at protecting biodiversity in Lebanese waters.
The exhibition was held at the Nabu Museum in Shka El-Hari, where a number of experts and specialists presented presentations that highlighted the ecological, social, and economic importance of the Marine Protected Areas network. The role of this network in preserving marine species, protecting the marine ecosystem, and its impact on coastal communities, particularly in terms of economic benefits through ecotourism and sustainable fishing practices, was explained.
The event included a detailed presentation about the location where the activity was held, emphasizing its importance as part of the Lebanese coastline that requires greater protection from pollution and overfishing.
